Konsortium. Morph (DE)
On April 17th, 7.00 PM, Artists’ group “Konsortium” (Germany) presented their exhibition – “Morph” at VMU’s gallery “101”.
The name of the exhibition – “Morph” – has a double meaning. First of all, it means to connect and unite different elements by morphing them together. The other meaning is related to Morpheus, the deity of sleep and dreams. The name is a reference towards artists’ goal to search for certain synergy, links between different positions, to expand their own horizons, to provoke contrasts and conflicts.
In their work, Konsortium explores the questions of authorship, individual/group dynamics, invention and duplication. In this exhibition, the artists will present their collectively-created painting installation, which will be combined into one composition, created especially for the space of gallery “101”.
Before the opening of the exhibition, at 5.00 PM, a special artists’ lecture regarding Gesamtkunstwerk (Collective-Art-Work) will be held. The lecture is free and public.
